Her Adventure Awaits!
Stop by a Girls Troop Meeting!

Troop Meets Tuesdays 7pm at the Canfield Presbyterian Church (on 224 west of the green).

Calling all Girls ages 11-18! Come explore a world of doors to open! Learn leadership skills at your own pace, explore topics you always wanted to learn about, and learn some great survival skills that will serve you for the rest of your life!

Our goal of this troop is to build self confidence, leadership and life skills that our girls have limited opportunity to develop elsewhere in our community.

This is a girl led program, where the girls will take it upon themselves to advance. They will go through the same ranks and training of the traditional Boy Scout program, with the potential to achieve Eagle Scout. While proceeding through the ranks, the girls will learn skills and have experiences that will last a lifetime. It is a program with a backbone of guidance from many decades of experience within the Boy Troop 25.

Lisa Henry and Suzanne Heino lead the troop and are excited for the opportunities this provides not only our daughters, but yours and our community as a whole. We both have sons who earned their Arrow of Light in Cub Scout Pack 25 and now are in Boy Scout Troop 25. We have seen what the scouting experience does for the boys; the girls in our community need that too. We each have 9+ years leadership experience in other youth programs and look forward to building a long term troop that will last for generations.

To join the Girl Troop, complete a Youth Application and submit dues to the contacts below.

  1. Youth can join a Scout troop who have either:
    1. earned the Arrow of Light rank in Cub Scouts and are at least 10 years old,
    2. Or completed the fifth grade and are at least 10,

To make it easy on families with members in both troops, we meet the same night as the boys, but in separate areas. The boy and girl troops are separate units, working separately from each other. On occasion, where it makes sense, we will work together on special projects or activities.

Use the form to request more information and we’ll send you an updated schedule and other details. If you’d like to drop in to a meeting, join us! Though we recommend you contact us to make sure we’re not out and about in the community!
